It's a girl!!

Beau and I found out Friday that Claire will have a little sister! We are so excited! We looked forward to the girls growing up together and being the best of friends!!! Beau will officially be outvoted now on just about everything! :) Girls are so much fun! We can't wait to meet her!!!!

Claire's Dedication

Claire got dedicated this morning at church. Claire's Grammy and her Great Grandmother Brown came down for her dedication. Claire got to be dedicated with her friend Kennedy. The girls looked so cute! Claire is such a blessing to have in our lives!! Thank you God!!

Summer Fun

Claire had a fun day swimming and playing with her friends Kole, Kade and Kennedy. The kids swam, ate lunch and then played inside. They all had fun despite the fact that the water was a little cool. What a great way to enjoy the summer. Thanks Kole, Kade and Kennedy for coming to play!

We celebrated Beau's second Father's Day with a morning of church and then lunch at Cookie and Papa's. We had a fun day celebrating Daddy and Papa. Thanks for all you both do!

We had a wonderful trip to Minnesota! Claire and I stayed with the Rudolf cousins and had a blast while Daddy was busy working. Claire instantly made 3 new best friends - Wyatt, Celia and Polly! They were quite the fans of Claire and Claire was quite the fan of those three. We went to the park, Como Zoo, Mall of America (of course), and to Lake Ann. Claire did absolutely wonderful on the plane and was so pleasant on the trip. She was such a trooper! Thanks Shelley and Eric for letting us stay with you!

Claire has enjoyed her first week of summer and was able to spend some of it with her cousin Jake. Beau and I have discovered that Claire loves to swim and she has gone on her first lake trip and trip to the pool. Claire loves the water and has already had an incident where she has been under water! It didn't seem to bother her too much, she kept on playing.

Claire's Birthday Party

Claire had a great first birthday party this past Saturday. We grilled burgers and hot dogs, and of course had home made ice cream and birthday cake. Claire had so much fun! She loved playing with the boys and absolutely loved the balloons. Thanks to everyone who made her day special!

Happy Birthday, Claire!

I can't believe that my little baby girl turns one today. It seems like yesterday that she was just born. This past year has been filled with so many joys, smiles, laughs and new lessons for mommy and daddy! Claire has been such a good baby. She started sleeping through the night at six weeks old and continues to have good sleeping patterns. As a baby, Claire was the perfect little one to break in a new mommy and daddy.

As I watch her grow into a little child, she amazes me. Claire is so pleasant to be around and so curious. She smiles at people she meets and frequently starts talking to newcomers. Claire absolutely loves little kids. She gets so excited and starts screaming and reaching for kids she sees. Her smile can light up a room. Her little nose crinkles up and she squints her eyes when she gets excited. I can't wait to watch Claire be the best big sister in the world to her little brother or sister this year!

I know that God has such great plans for our little Claire. Daddy and I can't wait to see what God has in store for her and what paths He takes her down in her life. We love you, Claire, and look forward to celebrating many, many more birthdays!!
