The First 2010 Snow

We have gotten two big snows in one winter! Wow, that doesn't happen often here. Claire couldn't resist getting out to play in it. It started raining in the morning and she stood at the back door saying, "Bubble. Bubble". She was calling the rain drops bubbles! She wanted to go out and touch the "bubbles" so bad she couldn't stand it. :) Again, at first she didn't know what to think about the snow but finally started walking through the snow without holding Daddy's hand. After playing, or walking, through the snow it was bath time. Beau was holding the camera as I got Ali out of the bath so we couldn't resist snapping a few pictures. :)

2 months old

I know I am a little late, but Ali is 2 1/2 months old and is growing so fast! She loves to smile and watch big sister Claire do anything. Ali has started smiling and she smiles a lot! She smiles more than any other baby I have ever seen. Her whole face lights up when she smiles. I love it!! She loves to be sang to and kissed all over. Claire loves to get in her face and repeat, "Hi baby, hi baby". She is so funny. :) Ali just sits there and smiles at Claire as she tells her hi. Ali is such a good baby. She is so easy going and rarely gets upset. She doesn't even get upset during bath time anymore and actually smiles during her bath. Ali has been sleeping in her room since she was 7 1/2 weeks old and does great! As I stated in a previous post, she has been sleeping through the night since she was 5 1/2 weeks and this continues. My days are busy with my two sweet girls, but I can't imagine my life any other way!!

We have had a busy month! We have been busy playing with toys the girls got for Christmas, seeing friends and family, and trying to stay well. So far, we have had fun and Claire has had a sinus infection and Ali has been struggling with allergies. Overall, 2010 has started off to a great start!

Christmas 2009

We started Christmas Eve by making candy. Claire loves to help Mommy in the kitchen, so of course she got to help unwrap all of the chocolate. She even got to sneak in a couple of bites. :) Then we had lots of snow, about 8 inches, so we went out to play for the first time in snow. Claire was not sure what to think about it. She finally warmed up to the idea of playing in the snow and didn't want to come inside. We spent Christmas Eve with Grammy and Christmas Day with Cookie, Papa, Grandmother Brown and Grammy. Claire loved to open packages. She didn't mind who's package she opened, as long as she was able to tear the paper. :) Ali took Christmas pretty rough, she slept pretty much right through it. Claire and Ali must have been good girls this year because Santa brought Claire her favorite toy, a kitchen!
